       Murder case against human rights activists Rana Dasgupta

Rana Dasgupta was in Kolkata for medical treatment on the day and time of the alleged incident of the case at Jatrabari police station in Dhaka on July 19 at around 2:00 am. On that day, around 10:30 AM Bangladesh time, he started his journey from Chittagong Shah Amanat Airport to Kolkata. As accused in that case, his serial number is 22. His serial number is 326 as an accused in another murder case filed in Dhaka's Mirpur police station. He was in Chittagong on August 5, the day of the alleged incident in that case. Speakers said that Rana Dasgupta was systematically implicated in these two cases to silence the voice of Rana Dasgupta as a prominent leader of the human rights movement.



Bangladesh Jubo Oikya Parishad has demanded immediate withdrawal of harassment case against human rights leader advocate Rana Dasgupta. Apart from this, this organization, the brotherhood of Bangladesh Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Parishad, also demanded an immediate end to nationwide communal violence.
